In this segment, Dr. Matthew Vasquez, Co-Founder of the Gulf Coast Trauma Institute, presents on polyvagal theory, complex trauma and the default mode network, and attachment theory and the impact of early childhood neglect. He provides case examples of early neglect-based behaviors and concludes with play activities designed to develop safety using the Kinesthetic, Kinship, and Connection model.
